Self-Pay Pricing

You can better handle your medical expenses if you’re prepared. Insurance shouldn’t deter you from the care you need. HealthMe is a digital platform that makes your medical expenses simple, providing self-pay packages and transparent pricing for the growing population of Direct-Pay patients. Our self-pay packages come with no hidden costs.

Practices that use our GFE engine are able to utilize the HealthMe direct-pay marketplace at no additional cost. Our service is secure, encrypted, and HIPAA-compliant, ensuring the safety of both doctor and patients and allowing for payment to work seamlessly so you can focus on the most important thing: your health.

Self-pay is an alternative option for patients with high insurance deductibles, with out-of-network insurances, or do not currently have insurance. However, choosing a self-pay package waives your right to send your expenses to be reimbursed by insurance.

Good Faith Estimates Now Available for Patients without Health Insurance & Insured Patients Paying Directly for Care without Filing Insurance

The Institute for Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine is pleased to comply with a new law that requires health care providers to give patients an estimate of their bills for health care items and services before patients receive them if patients do not have health insurance or they are choosing not to use their health insurance.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any health care items or services upon request or when scheduling such items or services.

If you schedule a health care item or service at least 3 business days in advance, we will provide a written Good Faith Estimate to you within 1 business day after scheduling.

If you schedule a health care item or service at least 10 business days in advance, we will give you a written Good Faith Estimate within 3 business days after scheduling.

You may also ask any health care provider or facility for a written Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service. If you do, the health care provider must provide it within 3 business days after you ask.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate from that provider or facility, you may dispute the bill.

Always save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate and the bill.
